Building a customer list is one of the most important things you can do to ensure your long term success in business – whether it is a brick and mortar business or an online business.
To be truly successful you need repeat business. When you gain the trust of a customer they will buy from you over and over again. Multiple this by dozens or hundreds and you have a business model that is akin to recurring income.
So as you can see you need to get started building a customer list as soon as possible. But sometimes money gets in the way and you just can’t afford to pay for a service.
Now before we go any further let me be perfectly clear. Your best option is to use a paid service like Aweber or Getreaponse if you can afford it. But if that is out of the question I can show you an alternative that is free to use. You will need to have a domain name and a hosting account however.
What I am going to show you here is how to set up what I call a “mini-sponder” using WordPress and free services and tools.
You will be able to capture leads, deliver your newsletter and promote to your leads by using this system. This is not an autoresponder. In other words, when someone opts in they do not go into a message sequence that you set up. They are opting in to receive your newsletter by email. You can also send them offers within your newsletter or as a separate broadcast.
Normally the drawback with using your own service is the delivery rate of your emails and the possibility that your emails will be blocked from going out by your shared hosting provider. However you do not need to worry about those issues here since the email delivery is handled by a third party.
You no longer have to worry about the biggest drawback to having your own system to deliver emails to your leads!
If you have been waiting to build up a customer list because you can’t afford an autoresponder service you need to get this video series. It will get you started on your way to a successful business!
